Ready? Set. Go! Make it happen in 2013!

It’s only natural to evaluate what is and what might be at the beginning of any new year. I know I am…particularly as I begin 2013. New situations are scary. Exciting, challenging, and scary all at the same time. I’ve just taken over the Publisher position for and look forward to making some changes in the coming months. I want to create a dialogue here.

The focus is employment. But my focus is not just making a living but being happy and fulfilled while making a living. There’s a lot of advice out there on how to achieve this. But what works? I’m not interested in spending months meditating in India.

Let’s make it happen for ourselves in 2013! The first step is positive thinking. Tell me what you’re doing to make it happen.

    Hi Nancy,
I’m making it happen after 25 years of raising a family! I found a way to re-enter the workforce and leverage my experiences as a mother of college students and a re-careering adult by applying for and obtaining an internship at where I write for those subjects, among many other duties. Most 50+ people looking for work like me probably wouldn’t think to go the internship route, but it can be a great fit for the right company, help you learn new skills, and get you a foot in the door – I am living proof!
