Position Description:
A new groundbreaking Newton organization that helps residents stay in their homes and “age in place” is seeking committee chairs/board members to provide expertise in the areas of Accounting and Finance,Management and Marketing, Graphic Design, Website Design and fundraising. Make a significant impact in the lives of mature Newton residents through this innovative national trend.

Undergraduate and or Master's degree helpful, but not required.

SOAR 55 is an RSVP program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, a network of service programs that provides individuals age 55 and over with the opportunity to utilize their life experience to meet community needs.

Locally sponsored by the Newton Community Service Center, SOAR 55 volunteers serve in 7 communities west of Boston: Newton, Wellesley, Weston, Natick, Framingham, Wayland and Ashland. However, volunteers are not required to live within SOAR 55's service areas.

Over 300 volunteers contribute nearly 40,000 hours of valuable service each year at more than 65 local nonprofit and civic organizations and through SOAR 55's own service programs.
