Position Description:
SOAR 55 (Service Opportunities After Reaching 55), a program of the Newton Community Service Center, has received funding from the Tufts Health Care Foundation to conduct an 8 week training session for its Nonprofit Management Consulting Program, to start in December. We are interested in interviewing qualified individuals who are interested in working in teams to help local nonprofit organizations with short-term management, marketing and program planning projects. This is an exciting volunteer opportunity, especially for unemployed or underemployed individuals, to use your professional or business expertise, expand your skills, make contacts and make a difference. 		 
 
Position Requirements:
High level executive Business, Management experience. Marketing and Consulting a plus. 		 
 
Education Requirements:
B.A. or B.S or M.B.A. or another college education degree.

SOAR 55 is an RSVP program of the Corporation for National & Community Service, a network of service programs that provides individuals age 55 and over with the opportunity to utilize their life experience to meet community needs.

Locally sponsored by Newton Community Service Center, SOAR 55 volunteers serve in 7 communities west of Boston: Newton, Framingham, Wellesley, Natick, Weston, Wayland and Ashland. Though, volunteers are not required to live within SOAR 55's service area.

Over 300 volunteers contribute nearly 40,000 hours of valuable service each year at more than 65 local nonprofit organizations and through SOAR 55’s own service programs.
